- I'm an Easrly Childhood Education major at Georgia Southern University. I did my PPB at Brooklet Elementary School. I had fifth grade. Im now in Curriculum at Stilson Elementary Scool in a first grade classroom. I would like to teach in a rural setting. I would also like to teach 5th grade.
I am also at Stilson Elementary this semester! What grade are you observing in? I'm in Mrs. Langes' 3rd grade classroom and I love it! Mrs. Langes is a great teacher and all of the children in her class are very well behaved. It seems as if she has learned how to be their friend and their teacher which is something that seems easier said than done. I know I will learn a lot from Mrs. Langes and her students this semester.
ReplyDeleteI went to Stilson last semester as well. It wasn't my favorite school. I just didn't feel welcome there. This semester, I'm at Brooklet and it is much better. Starting this week, I have to go every single day. I am so ready for the sememster to be over.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Booklet do you like best? I would think that Stilson and Brooklet would be almost the same as far as the number of students that attend. Teaching seems easier when you have a class the is well behaved since bad behavior can affect the other students in the class. If there is a child acting out everyday it hinders other students from learning that day as well. Classroom management is just as important as teaching because without it the classroom can and will be WILD!!!!

ReplyDeleteWhere is Stilson? A friend of mine did her PPB at Brooklet and she really liked it! I am at Sallie Z this semester, and I really like it. It is an older school, but my teacher, Mr. Bowen, is really helpful and fun to observe. Last semester, I was at Mattie Lively, and I loved that school too! Both schools are set up a lot the same, and I enjoyed each of them equally! I hope you enjoy Stilson! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI was also at Brooklet Elementary School for my PPB. I really enjoyed being there! I loved the schools atmosphere! It's great that you have been able to observe a fifth grade classroom and that is the grade level that you want to teach!
